In praise of the Five10

My Five10.

I'm not a brand ambassador for anything. Happy to swop and change. My bike kit is a mixed bag; gardening gloves, golf jackets, running leggings. Whatever is cheapest really. My shoes? A pair of ancient Five10's that simply refuse to die on me.

They don't smell, and they've not fallen apart. Sure they are not waterproof, but then they never have been. After last weeks' deluge they took a full week to dry - even in front of our log burner for three evenings. The soles are still intact. Ten years? Call it 30,000 miles riding. I do have a newer pair, which I will use when these die on me. My new pair are now four years old though!

Suspect I'll be buried in these....
