Normally I write about my cycling exploits, which to me is much more fun than a job advert. However, cycling does not pay the bills; working does. I have not advertised on the web before, so this is going to be a bit hit and miss.
Redhill based, although willing to venture out and about. Prefer to work during school hours, although could do weekends and evenings.
What have I done recently?
As you can see, I'm happy doing anything really, not just paint. Always open to a challenge.
This little store was built using 100% reclaimed wood. It was built from scratch using wood intended for the fire. Cost of materials? Nothing!
Furniture painting (and repair) using Annie Sloan paints.
This has been my main line of work for a few months now, mainly in the Oxted area. All small repairs undertaken prior to starting, then custom painted in Annie Sloan to clients colour choice.
The Annie Sloan work is done in conjunction with Judie from Meldon House & Home, 01883 716005. Judie has all Annie Sloan products in stock, and is experienced in assessing client colour needs and furniture finishes.
We are currently assessing additional courses on Annie Sloan, specifically the waxing side of things. We get a lot of enquiries about this, and it seems people have a fear of dark wax. I'll be chatting with Judie to address this in 2017.
Small flat, interior paint:
This was completed in just over a week; all preparation work undertaken, along with interior painting using emulsion and eggshell paints. It went from being a drab, stained flat to one being ready to let in pristine condition.
Cycling....
Of course I also continue with my cycling around Surrey. If you spot me out and about on my fat bike, do say hello!
Prices.
There's no set fee for any of this. All open to negotiation. Happy for clients to provide their own materials. Available, generally, at short notice.
I don't do electrics, plumbing or brickwork. Gardening, painting, small plasterwork repairs, bit of wallpaper, delivering stuff? That's me.

- Dug some large holes in a garden for an electric cable installation.
- Painted the interior of a shop.
- Assembled a shed.
- Painted a shed.
- Decorated the lower half of an hallway using Farrow & Ball paints.
- Painted lots of furniture using Annie Sloan chalk paints.
- Built several wood stores from used pallets.
- Painted the interior of a rental flat using Dulux paints.
- "Man and a van" collections and deliveries.
- Even photographed goods for eBay for clients!
As you can see, I'm happy doing anything really, not just paint. Always open to a challenge.

This involved all the preparation work (sanding and small repairs), along with painting in Farrow and Ball Modern Emulsion and Eggshell. All the same colour for a dramatic effect.

Here the client specifically requested Annie Sloan chalk paint for speed of effect. Ideally a shop would be painted in eggshell, yet this one came out very well. Finished in lacquer for durability.
