Bought an eBay bike for my daughter Sunday morning. On the way home figured if Halfords was open I'd get some bits.
10:05 it was, so went in.
Sorry? Expected it empty but it was chock full of men ambling about. There must have been forty people in there. They'd clearly been waiting for it to open, nothing more urgent to do with their lives. All with big bellies, all prodding and touching stuff. The bike section was particularly busy, with big men pulling out clearly unsuitable bikes.
One guy was 35 stone easy, pulling out a lithe racer.
Hats off to you for buying a bike, or even just thinking of one.
